Densely patterned everywhere, this central Persia fine weave city scatter shows a rounded, totally packed arabesque medallion set on an inky black field decorated by hundreds of tiny palmettes and very thin spiral and snaking vines. Tonally en suite border with carnations, heart-shaped knots, multiply-forked leaves and ragged palmettes, with yellow and pale green accents. More like a tile pattern than a pile rug. Very good condition, fine weave. Narrow palette beautifully rendered..
