Very fine semi antique Persian kashan rug 9'11'' x 14'6'' In central Persia, Kashan town is famous for its fine scatters and room size pices in allover, medallion and prayer niche layouts, in both silk and wool. The later 19th century Mohtashams are particularly prized. Manchester Kashans are woven in the 1920-30 period with English Manchester spun wool.
