Fine antique Persian Heriz runner . 2'9'' x 11'0'' Woven in villages in NW Persia, these fairly coarse carpets show vigourous medallion or, as here allover patterns, with crisp natural dyes and cotton foundations. Serapis are higher grade and Bakshaish rugs are earlier. These rugs have never gone out of style and come in all sizes, from scatters to mansion dimensions.
