A large period verdure with excellent, well-preserved colours. in the Jean Pillement manner. Two jaunty long beaked, long legged birds strut on the bank of a placid stream under lavishly foliaged trees with shaded brown trunks and leaves touched in teal, blue, green, yellow-green and straw. Finely drawn plants show on the nearer bank including dandelions. Overlapping grassy swells form a repoussoir to lightly sketched rural buildings in the distance. Tulip, rose and flower black border. Good condition. .
