Product Details

Bidjar is a Kurdish town in far western Persia and the district has been weaving particularly solid and eternally-wearing rugs, runner and large carpets for the last two centuries. The weavers usually work from sampler mats (wagirehs) although in this case they have employed the easy to remember, ever-popular allover Herati pattern on a madder red ground. Accents in off white, yellow, light blue and green. Salmon main border with the “tangerine flower” pattern with triple florets and spacer rosettes. Good condition with at least a century more of use left.
