This abrashed rose-red ground nomadic Turkmen scatter is probably Persian Jafarbai subtribe rather than Russian, but the tribes moved back and forth across the border even after the Russian Revolution of 1917. There are alternating offset rows of three and two Salor-style guls within a border system centred on an ivory band of stars, crosses, quincunxes and triangles. Extra end panels (elems) with rayed diamonds enclosing ashiks. Good condition..
