Strongly in the rustic style of NW Persia, this boldly drawn scatter shows a broad royal blue “tangerine flower” border framing a tomato Madder field which supports of finely fringed navy hexagonal medallion. Both field and border feature the Herati design, but that in the medallion is both larger and more emphatically coloured. This attractive west Persian scatter has a cotton foundation, single weft and symmetric knots. Very collectible for the adventurous connoisseur. Good condition..
