This very interesting east Caucasian well-woven scatter shows a light blue lattice enclosing stepped lozenges with rosette centres. A red and ecru eight-point “Lesghi star” boldly leaps forth from the field whose pattern continues unchanged into the spandrels. Yellow faceted niche arch with rosette décor. Yellow main border with fine rendition of the slanted leaf and calyx pattern. Seemingly unique and an excellent wall hanging for the rug connoisseur. Clipped low pile. Good condition with narrow cream ecru end flatwoven finishes..
