The village weavers of the central Persian Char Mahal district never shy away from saturated, bright palettes and here the strong, crisp red field shows a bold 16-point barbed round medasllion in sky blue and off white, with tonally en suite flower and anchor pendants, and a dark blue elliptical leaf and flower all-round pendanted centre. Royal blue corners and narrow ecru border with slanted leaves and bracketed rosettes. Similar to, but brighter than, a corresponding Heriz rug. Good condition..
